Antistatic Bigbag

Antistatic Bigbags (Electrostatic Protective FIBCs)

Antistatic Bigbags (Electrostatic Protective FIBCs) are specially designed for the transportation and safety of products with static potential. Their primary goal is to prevent any workplace accidents that may arise from the accumulation and discharge of static electricity.Produced in different types—A, B, C, and D—Antistatic Bigbags meet all the requirements of international safety standards, including the IEC 61340-4-4 Ed. 2.0 regulation.

Benefits of Using Antistatic Bigbags
  • - Enhanced Safety: Protects against the dangers of static discharges during transfer
  • - Versatile Use: Suitable for various products and transportation methods
  • - Optimized Loading: Custom designs ensure efficient use of space and safe transport of different types of products.
Applications

Ideal for all industries where static electricity poses a risk, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and fine powders.

Types of Antistatic Bigbags (Type A, B, C, D) (Tip A,B,C,D)
FIBC – Type A
  • - Standard Bigbag: No static protection.
  • - Safe Use: Used for transporting non-flammable, non-explosive products. There should be no flammable or explosive solvents or gases in the environment.
  • - Never Use: Should not be used for transporting flammable or explosive products in environments where flammable gases are present.
FIBC – Type B

Standard Bigbag: Made from special fabric with low voltage characteristics.

  • - Features: Type B Bigbags do not have protective features against static electricity. However, the fabric has a lower puncture voltage (< 6 kV).
  • - Safe Use: Suitable for transporting dry, flammable powder products (sugar, flour, grains). Available with or without liners. There should be no flammable or explosive solvents or gases in the environment.
  • - Never Use: Should not be used in environments where flammable gases are present.
FIBC – Type C

Conductive Bigbag: Made with conductive threads that are in contact throughout the body, designed to safely ground generated energy with surface resistance below 10^7 Ohm.

  • - Features: Made from conductive fabric. Conductivity is achieved through the intertwining of several conductive threads, which are connected to a grounding point. Therefore, this FIBC must always be grounded.
  • - Safe Use: Used for transporting products in powder form that are flammable (resins, TiO2, BPA). Should be used in environments with flammable solvents and gases.
  • - Never Use: Must not be used if the grounding mechanism is damaged or absent.
FIBC – Type D

• Chromiq Bigbag: Designed to safely dissipate energy generated during filling and discharging into the atmosphere without requiring a grounding unit. Type D Bigbags are engineered to eliminate serious risks arising from operator errors related to grounding neglect or failure.

  • - Features:Type D Bigbags are made from special CROHMIQ® fabrics that safely dissipate static electricity. Type D Bigbags do not require grounding. However, it is important that the surrounding environment (machines, personnel, etc.) is fully grounded while handling the product. Type D FIBCs ensure safe filling and emptying of CROHMIQ® Type D products by eliminating grounding errors. These Bigbags can be produced with laminated and non-laminated fabrics. Antistatic/conductive liners can also be added to the interior during the storage and transportation of fine powders.
  • - Safe Usage: They are used for transporting products in powder form that are flammable. They should be used in environments where flammable and explosive solvents and gases are present.
  • - Do Not Use: They should not be used if the surface of the Bigbag is covered with conductive materials like water or oil.
